Built this to answer a question I get weekly: can you game and stream on one machine under €900? Short answer: yes, if you spec it right. The Dedicated AM4 Streaming Rig is a purpose-built single-PC streaming setup that leans on NVIDIA's NVENC hardware encoder to handle the stream workload while you game.

*Dedicated AM4 Streaming Rig — RTX 3050 NVENC encoder does the heavy lifting*
What's inside
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 — Six cores, twelve threads, 65W TDP. Not the flashiest chip on AM4, but it's efficient and gives you enough headroom to run OBS, Discord, and your game without choking. The 5500 is a Zen 3 part, so single-thread performance is solid for gaming. I picked this over the 5600 to keep the budget in check — the frame difference in most games is negligible when you're GPU-limited anyway.
GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 3050 8GB WINDFORCE OC — This is the heart of the streaming setup. The RTX 3050 has NVIDIA's NVENC encoder built in, which means your stream gets encoded on dedicated silicon — zero impact on your CPU or game frames. You can stream at 1080p60 to Twitch while gaming at 1080p high settings, and the 8GB VRAM means you've got breathing room for texture-heavy titles. It's not a 4K monster, but for streaming at standard resolutions, it's perfect.

*DeepCool CG580 case — clean airflow, no-fuss cable management*
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Netac — Dual-channel 16GB. It's not the fastest kit on the market, but Ryzen 5000 isn't as RAM-speed-sensitive as Ryzen 3000 was, and 2666MHz is plenty for streaming workloads. You're running OBS, browser sources, chat overlays, and the game itself — 16GB handles it without swapping to disk.
Storage: Kingston NV3 500GB NVMe — PCIe 4.0 drive. Fast enough that Windows, OBS, and your main games load instantly. 500GB is tight if you're installing everything under the sun, but for a focused streaming setup with 2-3 core games, it's fine. You can always add a SATA SSD later for archive storage.

*RTX 3050 8GB — NVENC does the stream encoding, CPU stays free for the game*
Motherboard: MSI A520M PRO — Micro-ATX, AM4 socket. The A520 chipset is the budget end of AMD's lineup, but it's got everything you need: PCIe 3.0 (the RTX 3050 doesn't saturate it), M.2 slot, USB 3.2. No PCIe 4.0, no overclocking, but you're not losing frames over it.
PSU: Xilence Performance C+ 650W — 650 watts is plenty for this config. The 5500 pulls 65W, the RTX 3050 pulls ~130W under load. You've got headroom for upgrades down the line if you want to slot in a beefier GPU.
Cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth — The stock cooler that ships with the 5500. It's adequate for a 65W chip — not silent under load, but it keeps temps in the mid-60s during gaming. If you want it quieter, you can swap in a tower cooler later for €30.
Case: DeepCool CG580 — Mesh front, decent airflow, clean cable routing. It's not a showpiece, but it's practical and the thermals are fine.
I tested this streaming *Fortnite*, *Warzone*, and *Valorant* at 1080p while pushing a 1080p60 stream to Twitch using OBS with the NVENC (new) encoder at 6000kbps.
Fortnite (High settings, DX12): 75-90fps in-game, stream smooth, zero frame drops on a 10Mbps upload.
Warzone (High settings): 55-70fps, occasional dips in heavy firefights, but the stream stayed locked at 60fps.
Valorant (High settings): 140-180fps, stream butter-smooth. E-sports titles are no problem.
The NVENC encoder is the key here. Your CPU usage in OBS sits at about 2-3%, because the RTX 3050 is doing all the encoding work. That means your game frames stay high and you're not stuttering when action kicks off on stream.

Who this suits
This is for streamers on a budget who want a single-PC setup that just works. If you're grinding affiliate on Twitch, streaming to YouTube, or running a Discord stage, you need a machine that can encode 1080p60 without tanking your game frames. The RTX 3050's NVENC encoder gives you that for €877.
It's not a 1440p ultra settings rig, and it won't push 240fps in *Apex*. But if you're streaming at 1080p and playing competitive or mainstream titles, this handles both workloads without breaking a sweat. You're getting a hand-built system with verified compatibility, stress-tested under streaming workloads, and a 3-month parts & labour warranty.
