WARRANTY POLICY

OUR WARRANTY

Every custom PC built by The PC Lad comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of delivery or collection. This warranty covers defects in assembly and workmanship, giving you peace of mind that your build is in good hands.

WHAT IS COVERED

Our warranty covers:

• Defects caused by assembly or manufacturing errors
• Hardware failures that occur under normal use within the warranty period
• Issues related to component compatibility that were part of the original build
• Software configuration issues related to the original setup we provided

If a covered issue arises, we will repair or replace the affected component at no extra cost to you.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Individual components in your build (such as the GPU, CPU, motherboard, PSU, etc.) are also covered by their own manufacturer warranties, which typically range from 2 to 5 years depending on the brand and product. We can help you navigate a manufacturer warranty claim if needed.

If a component fails outside of our 1-year warranty but is still within the manufacturer warranty period, we can assist you with the claim process.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

Our warranty does not cover issues resulting from:

• Physical damage — Drops, impacts, or damage caused during transport after delivery
• Liquid damage — Spills or exposure to moisture (excluding factory-sealed liquid cooling systems)
• Overclocking damage — Any instability or hardware failure resulting from overclocking beyond factory specifications
• Unauthorised modifications — Hardware or software changes made by you or a third party after delivery
• Misuse or neglect — Using the PC in conditions it was not designed for, such as extreme temperatures or poor ventilation
• Software issues — Viruses, malware, or problems caused by software you installed after delivery
• Normal wear and tear — Cosmetic degradation over time such as scratches or dust buildup

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

If you think something is wrong with your build, here is what to do:

1. Contact us through the contact form on thepclad.com
2. Describe the issue in as much detail as possible — what is happening, when it started, and any error messages you have seen
3. We may ask you to run some basic troubleshooting steps or send photos/videos of the issue
4. If we determine the issue is covered under warranty, we will arrange for your PC to be brought in for repair

Please do not attempt to open the case or replace components yourself, as this may void the warranty. Let us handle it.

REPAIR TURNAROUND TIME

Once we receive your PC for a warranty repair, we aim to diagnose and resolve the issue within 5 to 10 business days. If a replacement component needs to be ordered, this may take a little longer depending on availability. We will keep you updated throughout the process.
