OVERVIEW
The Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 is the daily-driver B550 board we reach for on Ryzen 7 5700X builds. 12+2 phase digital VRM with thermal armour handles the 5700X / 5800X3D loads without throttling. Dual M.2 slots — the primary running PCIe 4.0 — let you fit a fast NVMe boot drive plus a secondary for game library overflow.
Four DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 128GB at 4733 MHz (OC). Realtek GbE LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C on the rear, and the standard set of HDMI + DisplayPort outputs for APU builds. No-frills aesthetic with subtle accent lines — pairs well with white-themed cases when you want the GPU and RAM to do the visual talking. We fit this on €1,200-€1,500 AM4 builds.
